These are members of the JCQCIC and operate a range of general qualifications (GQS) - eg, iGCSE, GCSE and A levels and vocational/technical qualifications (VT/Qs) - eg, BTECs, Cambridge Nationals across the UK, with CCEA from Northern Ireland and SQA from Scotland not offering any qualifications in England.








The JCQ's key role and activities which focuses mainly on GQs are:

1. To represent the interests of its members and provide some commonality on exams delivery issues. 

2. To publish advice, guidance and regulations on delivering examinations on behalf of its members.

3. To provide a forum for exam centre representatives to discuss issues related to the public exam system

4. To publish the national GCSE and A level results in August on behalf of its members.
