Job Holder: Salary £19,300-00
Responsible to: Examinations Manager
Responsible for:
1. Deputising for the College Examinations Manager where necessary or when delegated to do so.
2. Assisting in the preparation, planning, co-ordinating and conducting of internal and external examinations on the sixth form college site, including resits and those for external candidates.
3. Assisting with the submission of entries for GCE and GCSE examinations that form part of the Adult Continuing Education programme.
4. Assisting in the arranging and publishing of internal and external examination invigilation rosters.
5. Maintaining accurate information and documentation about students requesting or requiring “special” provisions in examinations (in consultation with the Learning Support Department), and liaison with the examination boards to secure the necessary permissions.
6. Assisting in the distribution of examination results, dealing with queries arising from results and administering re-mark requests.
7. Receipting, collating and distributing examination board certificates.
8. Assisting in the circulation of incoming information, logging important communications, ordering stationery and other materials.
9. Assisting in the maintenance of effective and secure systems of storage and retrieval for examination board materials and question papers.
10. Following the guidelines and procedures laid down by examination boards and the Joint Council Qualifications.
11. Recruitment, training, duties and associated administration in respect of external invigilators employed by the centre.
12. Registering and entering student for Key Skills examinations and the administration of results and certificates relating thereto.
13. Other duties as may be reasonably allocated by the Principal, Vice Principal and the Examinations Manager.
