Terms and Conditions of Membership 

 International Examinations Officers' Association (iEOA)

The International Examination Officers’ Association (known hereafter as the Association) has issued the following terms and conditions for the proper conduct and management of the Association and for the purposes of prescribing conditions of membership. These are the Rules of Membership as from 1st September 2017, for the academic year 2017/18.
 
The Association considers all applications before approving membership in accordance with the Memorandum and Articles of the Association.


1.0 Please note that all members regardless of category must complete the registration form on this site.  There are three categories of iEOA membership:

1.1 Full Members: (MiEOA after your name)
Full membership is open to all Exam Office Personnel working within a registered centre anywhere in the world.  Full members pay an annual subscription fee and have access to all the Association’s benefits and services including the members section of the website.  Fully paid up members are entitled to suffix their name with the designation of MiEOA. 

 

1.2 Affiliate members (AiEOA):

This is a new category of membership given to the invigilation community who are directly attached to their existing exam office membership. These individuals do not have full membership rights do not have access to any of the full membership areas, however, they are encouraged to share their experiences and undertake the iEOA suite of invigilation qualifications being supported by Industry Qulaifications (IQ).


1.3 iEOA Honouree Members: (HiEOA after your name)
This category of membership applies to retired Exam Office Personnel who still wish to stay in touch with the Association via newsletters and other communications.  There is no subscription applicable to iEOA Honouree members.
 
2. Membership of the Association begins in the month that a member registers ie a member joins and pays their annual subscription with renewal invoice being issued one month before renewal and must be paid within 15 days of receipt of the invoice. Access to all services will be withdrawn if this period is exceeded.


3. The Association supports individual persons within a centre and therefore centres can have more than one registered member under this 'Centre Membership'. 


4. Membership fees.  From 1st September 2017 there will be two levels of fees for membership:  Renewal of fees for existing members and fees for new members as shown below.
 

4.1 Standard Centre Membership - annual fee is £60:

Annual renewal fee is £55 if paid within 15 working days of renewal invoice.

Centre membership for large centres and corporates can be negotiated on an individual basis by just contacting the iEOA office at – ieoa.office@examofficers.org.uk

 

4.2 Fees are only applicable to all members listed under the Full centre membership. These fees will be reviewed annually and members will be advised accordingly if there is any change.
 
5. It is a members responsibility to inform the iEOA office in Reading about any change in contact details or if they no longer hold a post as examinations office staff in a registered exam centre.  


6. Membership of the Association may be cancelled at any time by email or in writing to the iEOA office. However, all members who do not inform the iEOA office, after one month of membership, of their intentions they will be libel for membership fees for that membership year. Any refunds for the whole or part of the remaining year’s membership fee after one months access to membership services is at the discretion of the iEOA.


7. If your iEOA membership is resigned, lapsed or cancelled and you wish to rejoin you may do so but you will not receive the discounted rate if you join within 12 months of the date you cease to be a member.


8. The Association shall be entitled to prevent the use of the name of the Association by any member or impose conditions or regulations on the use of the name of the Association on any member at any time.


9. Members must refrain from using inappropriate (rude, sexist, racist, defamatory, hateful, libellous etc) words or phrases on the website discussion forum.  The Association is not obliged to inform an individual member before removing words or comments it deems inappropriate from the forum.


10. In the event of any dispute or disagreement as to the interpretation of these Rules of Membership or as to any question or rights arising from or related to them, the decision of the Association Board of Trustees shall be final and binding upon all members.

All membership rates are effective from 1st September 2017 to 31st August 2017 unless otherwise stated. All terms and conditions are correct as of 1st September 2017.
