The iEOA is working in partnership with the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), to help provide more targeted support and  to exams office staff  dealing with students who may have ‘sight loss’ especially in mainstream exam centres across the UK and abroad.

Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) is the largest organisation working with blind and partially sighted people in the UK.  We work closely with specialist teachers and support services in local education authorities and health authorities, and undertake policy, research and training activities regarding the development and learning of all children who are blind or partially sighted, including those with additional and complex needs. RNIB provides specialist information and advice on access arrangements for exams at www.rnib.org.uk/examaccess

As part of the partnership arrangement the iEOA provides:

● Promote the RNIB on its website, e-newsletter, publications & events

● Promote the RNIB to all Network groups through its online Network Tool

● Promote the RNIB through the iEOA CPD programmes

In return RNIB provides:

● Provide help, support, information & guidance that facilitates greater access to exams for
   students with ‘sight loss’

● Promote the iEOA on its website, in publications and events where appropriate

● Share and exchange information appropriate to serving this area

While this partnership agreement is based on a shared objective of providing future solutions to members' needs, the iEOA does not endorse any specific product under its charitable status. However, the iEOA seeks to provide opportunities to members to explore and develop products and services that might not have become available through other avenues.
