Welcome to the EOA SEND (special educational needs and disability) Service which has been created to help support the exams office community, especially in mainstream exams centres who may not have the range of expertise to deal with various individual needs when applying for Access Arrangements (AA) with Assistive Technology (AT).

The EOA, as the only independent representative body working with the exams sector, did sit on the Ofqual AFC group which oversees the JCQ process managing Access Arrangements and was instrumental in getting Ofqual to challenge the JCQ members on their poor documentation which was leading to issues related to malpractice. There has been a growing concern by the SEND community over the rising number of centres and individuals being taken to task over malpractice when undertaking the Access Arrangement process.
