The Board consists of a principal from each of our nine English regions, a maximum of seven governors and further members who represent the interests of our varied member colleges. Each year our members elect a serving college principal to be our President. He/she acts as an ambassador for the sector as well as the organisation, and holds the role for a year.
AoC is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee with a national office in London and regional offices around the country. AoC Charitable Trust and their commercial subsidiary, AoC Create, are also based in London.
They try to make things run as smoothly as possible by providing innovative online tools which make it easier for students and higher education institutions (HEIs) to manage applications and offers.
In 2017, our UCAS Undergraduate admissions service handled 2.85 million applications from 699,850 UK, EU, and international students. We’re proud to have helped 533,890 students secure a full-time place at one of 391 universities and colleges across the UK.
