Election for the EOA Board of Trustees
As a registered charity the EOA is governed by an elected Board of Trustees nominated by fully paid up members. Presently there are Five elected exams office staff representing members. Three additional members are then appointed from other professions by the newly elected board. This process ensures that the EOA is 'run by exams office staff for exams office staff'. For the elections in Spring 2012 there will be 3 places available on the Board of Trustees.
Mission StatementThe EOA is an independent, non-union organisation whose role is to support the professional development of exam office personnel working in centres throughout the UK. We ensure our members’ views are heard by government agencies, awarding bodies and senior management teams. Our members have access to information, resources & a strong peer support grass roots network, to help in their day-to-day work. We help our members in promoting the importance of this role to the whole education community so that they can be supported in delivering an effective examination system.
