Continuing Professional Development & Trainingprovided by other stakeholders1. Training Agency for Schools (TA) will be replacing the TDA.The TA (TDA) reference information and CPD provided by the EOA. 2. Awarding Body Provision:Across the country most awarding bodies run a variety courses associated with the delivery of their individual products and services. 3. Exam Delivery Support Unit (EDSU) Provision:EDSU continue to provide induction training for new exams office staff which focuses on general qualifications and schools. In support of this programme the EOA are providing presenters and facilitators for this programme. The opportunity is also open for experienced exam office staff to particilpate in these events as part of their own CPD. Some of the main awarding bodies attend and support these events so there is an additional opportunity for exams office staff both new and experienced to raise issues and concerns with their respective awarding body. 4. Hays Recruitment:Hays are working in partnership to help support the development of all exam office staff including invigilators and provide their own training programme. However, having teamed up with the EOA Hays are keen to further develop links between recruitment, training and professional development. (see more on Hays services)
5. Exam Team Development (ETD)Another EOA partnership member came into the market place last year focusing on invigilation training and support but their 'people skills' approach provides yet another dimension to the whole exam office community. (see more on ETD's services) |
