A’ level results and how they might affect you
A present everyone is focused in making sure the right results get to the right students in order for them to fulfil the next step in their future. For some it will be fighting with the UCAS system and individuals to secure a university place while for others its will be seeking access to other courses, apprenticeships and other forms of employment.
There are a number of questions to ask when all the frenzy has died down. Has there been any fall out from the exam error issues for your students? Has the UCAS system managed to keep pace with the increased demands this year in reaction to the increase in tuition fees next year?
If one reads the trend on the A’ level results one can see changes in what subject groups are increasing and decreasing and how that will have an impact on the provision of exam delivery this coming academic year. Decisions for the year 13 students are already in place for next year but you may find there are knock on affects down the school, starting with changes in emphasis at GCSE level and then working your way up into the sixth form.
You can access the results on the following JCQ link and there will be a fuller commentary on both A’ level and GCSE results later in the month.
We hope all has gone well for your centre but please take a moment to email any issues over this result period so we can provide a coordinated response to organisations like Ofqual on customer service.
