Appointed Members of the Board of Trustees stand down

The EOA was registered as a charity and a company in 2005 to comply with the various legal requirements associated with our existence.  Since then, two members of the Board of Trustees have served as appointed members, Professor Brian Fidler from the University of Reading, and Helen Sandom a co-owner and Director of a marketing company.  They have both provided the EOA Board with a great deal of experience and advice on a variety of issues and particularly with financial management.  Their terms of office have now come to an end and the Board will be seeking to appoint three new members who will be able to provide the EOA, and the Board of Trustees in particular, with experience and support in legal, financial and business matters.

I would, therefore, like to take this opportunity on behalf of all members of the EOA, to publicly thank Brian Fidler and Helen Sandom for their help and support over the years and for their time, energy, encouragement and experience that they have given to the EOA in their own free time. Brian and Helen are not paid for their work and they have rarely claimed any out of pocket expenses.  We wish you both all the very best for the future and thank you most sincerely for your contributions to the success of the EOA.
