The EOA is working closely with the Federation of Awarding bodies (FAB) to support its existing services to the exam office community. As we enter a new era in exam management and administration there is a need to continue to encourage a more sharing environment that benefits all of our community.

Note: The Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB) is a membership body, representing organisations that award vocational qualifications in the UK. The activities of the FAB are focussed on achieving a vocational qualification system that meets the differing needs of candidates, employers, education and training providers and awarding bodies as well as offering good value to funding bodies and taxpayers.

As part of our working relationship with FAB, FAB provides:

  • access to the FAB’s website for targeted helpline support
  • support  at the EOA conferences and other activities were possible
  • a link from the FAB website to the EOA website services

in return EOA provides:

  • feedback on customer service provision
  • consultation on matters related to the delivery of exam processes
  • support for any FAB events and activities the FAB are invited to
  • a link to the FAB website and it’s services

As an independent charity the EOA does not endorse or promote any specific services or products by FAB or any other awarding body. However, it is clear that the management and administration of examinations, where ever you are in the country or what ever type of centre you work in, experiences similar practices and procedures. Over the years the EOA has been working with the FAB, awarding bodies and government agencies to encourage cooperation and coordination in this area. The EOA believes that this type of relationship fosters a greater sense of shared ownership in the successful delivery of present and future exam systems.

“Clarification of the term ‘PARTNERSHIP(S)’:

Use of the term ‘partnership(s)’ on the EOA website or any document referred to therein or any arrangement contemplated by that term shall not be construed as creating a partnership for legal purposes between the EOA and any other party concerned for any purpose whatsoever and neither party shall have the power or authority to bind the other party or impose any obligations on it for the benefit of any third party.”
