VTCT conference 9th May at NEC

The EOA is working closely with the VTCT to support its existing services to the exam office community. As we enter a new era in exam management and administration there is a need to continue to encourage a more sharing environment that benefits all of our community.

A specialist awarding body for the hairdressing and beauty sectors, VTCT’s full qualification package also covers complementary therapies, sports and active leisure and business skills.  Under its on-line Linx2 sub-brand VTCT has introduced on-line registration and certification facilities to assist with examination and administration processes in colleges.  VTCT also has an   on-line testing platform developed for internal and external assessments across the range of the sectors we serve.

On-line support materials for teachers and assessors are available in the areas of anatomy and physiology, and health and safety to provide teachers with classroom ready presentation materials. This areas is continuing to develop and will are planning to implement the production of branded e-portfolios.

As part of our working relationship with VTCT, VTCT provides:

  • access to the VTCT’s website for targeted material for online CPD
  • support  at the EOA conferences and other activities were possible
  • a link from the VTCT website to the EOA website services

In return the EOA provides:

  • feedback on customer service provision

As an independent charity the EOA does not endorse or promote any specific services or products by VTCT or any awarding body. However, it is clear that the management and administration of examinations, where ever you are in the country or what ever type of centre you work in, experiences similar practices and procedures. Over the years the EOA has been working with awarding bodies and government agencies to encourage cooperation and coordination in this area. The EOA believes that this type of relationship fosters a greater sense of shared ownership in the successful delivery of present and future exam systems.
