Roy WaiteRoy Waite is the EOA's ICT specialist. Roy's key role is to supervise all ICT aspects of the EOA Online training systems and any other IT project being undertaken.
"I have worked in many inner city schools during my career and held the roles of head of department, head of faculty, senior teacher and assistant headteacher. I have been an examinations officer for ten years and in that time have seen numerous changes. I have also worked for the awarding bodies. I have been a member of the music sub-committee for A-Level music with the JMB (now AQA). I was also a moderator for AQA and chair of the local subject advisory group. For many years I was a governor of two schools. I have also done consultancy work for OCR.
"I have run many courses for examinations officer in improving their I.T. skills. My main area of interest at the moment is schools improvement. I am working as a consultant, writing software for a number of schools and helping them to improve their “value-added” performance.Together with Andrew Harland I have represented the interests of EOA members at meetings with QCA, and other stakeholders in the examinations system."
